Free technical and fundamental analysis tools.

Just wanted to share this excellent free technical analysis tool. It’s a decent starting point if you are new to technical analysis and want to get a quick idea of a stock’s technical strength. (Hat tip : Marketfolly.) Just click on this link which will then ask you for the ticker symbol and email address.

Here’s a sample stock analysis chart for AAPL:

MSN moneycentral has another useful free tool called StockScouter. Here they rate a stock from 1 to 10 based on four factors. These are a stock’s fundamentals, valuation, ownership and technicals.

Moneycentral further has an Advisor FYI section where they alert you to any significant events. For instance, it lets you know if relative strength is increasing, earnings or revenue estimates/ results have changed significantly, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or inventory changes, etc.

I have found these tools to be useful in getting a quick snapshot on the state of a stock.
